I grew up in Pennsylvania and went to school in Maryland, specifically the University of Maryland. In the summer of 2015 I put all of my stuff in a moving crate and drove cross country with my childhood friends to Seattle.
Seattle was (and is) a fantastic, vibrant and approachable city. When I first moved there I got made fun of for using an umbrella, but I kind of get that now – it never rains hard enough to need it. I worked at Amazon as a professional software developer for 3 years in Seattle, before moving to New York City in the spring of 2018. I’m currently still with Amazon, and I’m enjoying the change of pace here on the east coast.
I originally started this blog to get better at communicating technical ideas, and it’s still about that, but lately I’ve been writing more about life in general as a younger guy entering the industry. Not sure what the future holds for me, but for now I’ll just enjoy this city and figure things out as I go.
