Bioluminescence, sunsets and submarines - Camping on Shi Shi Beach

A long weekend from Seattle around the Olympic Mountains to Shi Shi Beach, on the north western tip of Washington State. Three days camping on the Pacific: a four mile hike in, huge rock formations at either end, tide pools full of anemones and crabs, and bioluminescent plankton lighting the waves glow-stick green at night. Getting home took two sets of roadworks, an accident, a bridge closure while they moved a submarine across it, and a ferry missed by four minutes.
